"Login Not Allowed for Your Account at This Moment": How Long?

You enter your username and password on usvisascheduling.com, and the login page shows this in red:

Login not allowed for your account at this moment. Your account may have been temporarily blocked due to prohibited use of automation, which violated USTravelDocs policies.

usvisascheduling login page: Login not allowed for your account at this moment, prohibited use of automation

In other words: your account may have been temporarily blocked for "prohibited use of automation", and you can't log in right now.

Key Point: This is a temporary block on your account. A different computer, browser or network usually won't get you in. The message talks about "automation", but plenty of people who never used any tool – just their phone, by hand – have seen it too. The most common cause is the same account being logged in from more than one place at once.

If you're on the AIS system used in Canada, Mexico and other countries and you see "Your account is locked until…", that's a different issue – see AIS "Your account is locked until…".

Why Was My usvisascheduling Account Blocked?

The system won't tell you the exact reason. Based on reports from applicants and from other booking services, the most common situations are:

  1. The same account logged in from several places at once. For example, an H1B couple with one spouse in the US and the other back home, both checking slots on one shared account; a family member checking at the same time as you; or you hand the account to an agent and then log in yourself to take a look. usvisascheduling allows only one active login per account, so simultaneous logins from different places are easily flagged as abnormal.
  2. The same account given to several services. If two or three booking services are all logging in and checking slots on your account, their activity adds up and the account gets blocked quickly. One service's experience is that after you cancel with one provider, it's best to wait a few hours before handing the account to the next.
  3. Using extensions or scripts that check too often. Checking and submitting too frequently, in too regular a pattern.
  4. False positives after a site update. After the site was updated in June 2026, many people on Reddit said they were blocked without using any tool at all.

How Long Does the Block Last?

There's no official duration, and experiences vary a lot:

  • On Chinese social media, the most common figure is around 48 hours;
  • One Reddit user stayed logged out for the 72 hours support told them to, and still couldn't get in afterwards;
  • Some stayed logged out for about a week and got access back after three weeks in total; others were unblocked automatically after about two weeks;
  • Some applicants in India were unblocked 2–3 days after emailing support.

One thing is certain: trying to log in again and again while blocked doesn't help. Nobody knows for sure whether it extends the block, so the best move is to stop.

What Should I Do If My Account Is Blocked?

  1. Stop every other login first. If you gave the account to an agent or a booking service, or installed an extension, have them stop; ask family members not to log in either. Otherwise you'll be blocked again soon after it's lifted.
  2. Don't keep trying to log in. Wait two or three days first.
  3. Contact usvisascheduling support, explain that your account is blocked and ask for it to be unblocked. The support email applicants in India have reported is support-india@usvisascheduling.com; for other countries, find the contact details on the ustraveldocs site for your country. Some people were unblocked 2–3 days after emailing.
  4. If it never clears, ask to move your profile to a new email. Use a new email address that has never been used on this system and follow support's instructions to migrate your profile. The visa fee you paid moves over with it (an applicant has confirmed this first-hand); existing appointments reportedly move over too, but log in afterwards to check. Step-by-step details are in Security questions changed by a scammer? How to recover your account.

Will My Existing Appointment Be Cancelled?

So far we haven't seen any reliable report of a temporary login block cancelling an existing appointment – your booked interview is generally still there.

Be aware, though, that embassies do clean up appointments booked by improper means: in March 2025, the US Embassy in India cancelled about 2,000 appointments booked in bulk by bots and agents, and froze appointment access on the accounts involved. So choose a booking service carefully, and don't let your account be handed to several services at once or hammered at high frequency.

How Can I Avoid Getting Blocked?

  • Log in from one place only. Coordinate with family so two people never check at the same time.
  • Once a booking service has your account, don't log in yourself. If you really need to look, ask them to pause first, then resume after you're done.
  • Don't give your account to several services at once.
  • Don't use unknown extensions or scripts that check at high frequency.
  • Keep your password and security answers handy so you don't get them wrong repeatedly.

Keep Your Account Safe with LuckyBee

LuckyBee Expedite supports the usvisascheduling (CGI) system and follows a few hard rules on account safety:

  • Only one active login per account, with a controlled checking pace that doesn't hammer the site;
  • When you need to log in yourself, contact support to pause, then resume when you're done – we're never online at the same time as you;
  • If your account does get temporarily blocked, the system stops and waits for the block to lift instead of retrying logins and making things worse;
  • We never change anything in your account, and you pay only after you're booked – nothing is charged if we don't get a slot.

Please don't give the same account to any other service at the same time – that's the most common reason accounts get blocked.

FAQ

Q: Is "Login not allowed… prohibited use of automation" a permanent ban? A: No – the message says "temporarily blocked". Most people get access back within a few days to a few weeks, and some were unblocked 2–3 days after contacting support.

Q: I didn't use any tool – why was I blocked? A: Many manual users have run into this. The most common cause is the same account logged in from several places at once, such as a family member checking at the same time as you, or logging in yourself after handing the account to an agent. False blocks have also happened after site updates.

Q: Can I log in from a different network or browser? A: Usually not. The block is on the account, so the network and device have little to do with it. A few people say they got in using mobile data plus an incognito window, but that's not common.

Q: Can I keep trying to log in while blocked? A: It's not recommended. Retrying won't lift the block early and may make things worse. Stop every other login, wait a few days, and contact support in the meantime.

Q: Will the block affect an interview I've already booked? A: So far we haven't seen any reliable report of a temporary login block cancelling an existing appointment. But embassies do clean up appointments booked by improper means, so choose a booking service carefully.
